Freelance Jounalist 1

From the Daily Mail to Marie Claire, The Radio Times to Red magazine, Kathryn Knight’s work has featured in a host of national newspapers and magazines in a career spanning twenty years.

Following her graduation from her English Literature course at Oxford University in 1993 Kathryn was lucky enough to get a job on a national newspaper almost immediately, landing a three month stint as a diarist on The Times. From there she became a full-time researcher on the paper for three months before being awarded a place on one of their graduate traineeships in 1994, where she cut her news teeth alongside some of the country’s most experienced reporters.

After four years at The Times, in 1998 she moved to The Daily Express as a feature writer and weekly columnist. She moved to Associated Newspapers in 2001, first to  The Mail on Sunday and then,  in 2002 to the Daily Mail, where she specialised in first person interviews and profile and investigative pieces.

Kathryn has been freelance since July 2006 but has continued to work extensively for the Mail on both its features section and its Saturday magazine Weekend.  Her work has also featured regularly in the Radio Times,  Grazia, Sunday Times Style and Marie Claire, to name but a few.
